Rodney Tomkins and Stephen Johns at the console the  Holt organ in St. Peter’s Belper

In September we met at St. Peter’s Belper for a presentation of 18th century organ music, given by Rodney Tomkins (Organ) and Stephen Johns (Narrator).

St Peter’s was built in 1824 and is contemporary with the later music played.

The “Holt” organ was built in 1853 and has a sound that is appropriate to this music.
